El Lobo-The native people of bygone era had great respect for Brother Wolf. They both lived in small groups, depended on hunting game to exist, shared their foods and had established territories they adopted as their own, keeping intruders out.

The Warrior Corps of the Cheyenne were the WOLF SOLDIERS, powerful defenders of tribal space and rights, while the Makah of the NW Coastal region

held a great Masked WOLF ritual. The Natives considered Wolf Lore that life is based on taking life so therefore, as the Wolf hunts, so too does man and it is a sacred act. The Indian had such high respect for the Wolf that few were killed unless in an emergency situation where it posed a threat or when the skin was needed for ceremonial purposes.

What we have here is El LOBO, a wolf of the Southwest and fitting because this one is owner by Spotted Wolf, an Apache.
