Wolf Family

The wife and I were taking care of our two grandkids in Lincoln, Montana As their parents had been invited to be Best Man and Brides Maid at the wedding of  close friends in Holland. While there, I sat on the verandah whittling wolves and watching the snow.

The wolf family were completed and so were two other carvings of wolves, (a critter I love very much) I decided to head into the huge town of Lincoln for breakfast at the one restaurant after the kids were safely in School. The wife doesn't believe much in breakfast, but it is my favorite meal.

I loaded my knives and Wolves in the car with the intent of showing them to another carver living there and went in. I was seated at a table when a man and woman walked in and the man asked, who owns that Oregon vehicle with the wolves in the seat. I admitted I did, thinking maybe I was in his parking spot. They came over and sat down. He wanted to buy one.

Long story short, he was from the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minnesota. This became the second time I sold something out of my vehicle, without trying. The first being an Italian Organ Grinder with a money collecting monkey, I was just finishing on a vacation trip to Banff Mountain in Alberta, Canada. It was mailed AFTER I arrived home and stained it for the buyer.
