Joe Meek on snowshoes was on an" Express" or winter message delivery back to St. Louis, all by his lonesome.
" Bitterroot Express,"--From current Utah up to near present day Missoula, soliciting furs from the "Wintering in" Free Trappers, to be presented to the Rocky Mountain Fur Company at Rendezvous.
