Up to Beaver-Joe Meeks

"Up to Beaver " a term meant as the greatest compliment you could pay to the brotherhood of Fur Trappers, next to "I took yer fer an Injun ~!"

They looked, acted and lived like Indians and most married Indian women as Joe Meeks did.

Old Bill Williams had a wife in every tribe he encountered and for that reason alone, he lasted far longer than most . When finally killed in battle with the UTES, they went into 5 days of mourning as he left Ute Wife.

Black Walnut.7" by 8" by 16" Tall.
